Light blue/purple flowers from the flax plant that linen comes from growing in field

Sustainability is at the heart of Tuathal

The foundations of Tuathal are built on looking after the environment and the people around us.

From the linen fibres we use to how we make each bag, we do things in a way that's good for Ireland and good for the earth.

"I grew up with a slightly woo-woo dad who would take time on Sunday walks in the park to find trees to hug - literally! He's given me a deep respect and love for not only Ireland, but nature as a whole. I take the responsibility to grow Tuathal with nature at the forefront of everything we do."

Clare, Founder of Tuathal

Made in Ireland

We design and manufacture everything in Ireland, supporting local industry and craft.

Natural Fibres

Linen uses less water than synthetic materials and biodegrades at the end of its life, returning to the earth.

Local Sourcing

We source linen from local mills in Ireland, supporting local communities and keeping transport emissions down.

Good for Pollinators

The flax plant that linen comes from is great for the local environment, it's blue flowers are great for pollinators.

Made to Order

Each bag is made to order so we only use what we need.

Re:Made Initiative

We use off-cut fabric to create limited edition pieces, from scrunchies to one-of-a-kind clothing, so nothing goes to waste.

Re:Made Initiative

We use every scrap of fabric we can. When off-cuts from our bags pile up, we turn them into limited edition pieces, from scrunchies to one-of-a-kind clothing pieces. These drops are completely ad-hoc and depend on what we have available, so we don't always have Re:Made pieces in stock. When we do, we shout about it - follow us on Instagram or sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know.
